President’s Message
Thank you for visiting the website for the Savannah Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. For more than 75 years, the Appraisal Institute has been the world’s leading organization of professional real estate appraisers. The organization has led the way in fostering and promoting the highest standards of practice through its designation programs, peer review process, education, research, and publishing endeavors. Appraisal Institute members exhibit a higher level of competence than is required of appraisers who are solely state-licensed or certified. Members of the Appraisal Institute adhere to a strictly enforced Code of Professional Ethics and Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Furthermore, Appraisal Institute members are highly respected by those seeking professional opinions of value and other types of real estate-related services.
The goals of our organization are to promote the Appraisal Institute in our region, provide top quality appraisal educational programs in the Savannah Area, provide support and assistance to associates seeking either the MAI or SRA designations, and to promote our membership to the public as the authority in providing real estate appraisal solutions. Our chapter is achieving these goals through providing real estate appraisal related courses and seminars, sponsoring meetings for our members which feature prominent speakers who are knowledgeable about today’s dynamic real estate market, and a variety of public relations efforts. Overall, our members enjoy these benefits, as well as tremendous networking opportunities which allow them to reach greater levels of success in their day-to-day business.
